NixOS + Old NVIDIA: How to survive driver 595 (GTX 750 Ti / Maxwell)
After updating NixOS, NVIDIA driver 595 started failing on Maxwell GPUs (like GTX 750 Ti), generating the error "No such device". In this article, I show the real cause of the problem and how to fix it by pinning version 580 with mkDriver, including full configuration and necessary hashes.
